HEALTH professionals in Grantham are being invited to find out more about local breast cancer services at a study day on Friday (July 8).
The breast cancer study day at Grantham and District Hospital is intended to help improve care provided to people with breast cancer in the local area.
The day is being run by hospital consultants and a specialist nurse to raise the profile of breast services at the hospital and to help them develop in the future. All health professionals including GPs are invited to attend.
There will be talks from hospital doctors and specialist nurses on prevention and family history, diagnosis, treatment, oncoplastic reconstruction and follow-up.
There will also be posters on tattoo machines, implants and prostheses, support groups, 23-hour discharge, information prescriptions and research.
