Simon Hardingham will hold a Christmas bake sale on Saturday, December 8, in the George Centre, Grantham, from 9am to 5pm to help raise the money he needs to go to Zimbabwe where he will work among poor communities.
Simon, of Cecil Street, Grantham, will be selling cup cakes, mince pies, sponge cakes and plenty more in a bid to reach his target of £800, the amount he needs in order to go on a 10-week trip to Zimbabwe in southern Africa. Cakes will be sold in presentation bags or can be eaten on purchase.
The 25-year-old mechanic has so far raised £672 and is hoping that the bake sale will finally allow him to reach his target. All proceeds go to Progressio ICS (International Citizen Service), a charity which helps the poor around the world.
