HUNDREDS of bikers made the journey from Bottesford to Grantham at the weekend as part of the annual toy run.

A total of around 400 bikes carrying 550 people made the ride to the Meres Leisure Centre to deliver hundreds of presents to be distributed by the Salvation Army.

Toy Run organiser John Bartlett has been taking part in the event for the past 22 years.

He said: “We had a really good turnout, especially considering how cold it was.”

After arriving in Grantham the bikers then headed to Melton Mowbray to drop off the presents.

Local bikers took part as well as riders from further afield including Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire.
