CROWDS gathered in Grantham town centre on Sunday to pay their respects to those servicemen and women who died for their country.
There was silence in St Peter’s Hill as the annual parade passed through the town in the morning, on the way to a special remembrance service at St Wulfram’s Church.
Poppy wreaths were laid at the war memorial in the churchyard by cadets, Mayor of Grantham Mike Taylor, and representatives of the Armed Forces and various associations, including the Royal British Legion.
After the service, the parade returned through the centre of town.
Marchers saluted dignitaries in St Peter’s Hill as they passed by the green.
