Have your say

THIS week sees the launch of the Grantham is Great Awards 2011 - celebrating the best of our town.

The awards pay tribute to all the people who make Grantham a fantastic place to live and work.

And the winners are chosen by YOU - the readers of the Journal.

We want to receive as many nominations as possible to pay tribute to people who go out of their way to do good for other people.

Categories in this year’s awards are:

l Child Achiever Award - sponsored by Costa Coffee

l Youth Achiever Award - sponsored by Grantham College

l Senior Achiever Award - available for sponsorship

l Best Volunteer - available for sponsorship.

l Carer of the Year Award - sponsored by LACE Housing Association

Is your teacher a true inspiration?

Fill in a nomination form and send it in to us!

When all the nominations are collected we’ll put it to the public vote and let our readers decide who wins the awards.

Winners will be announced at a gala celebration dinner at Belton Woods hotel on Friday, November 25.

As well as the category prizes, there’s an overall achiever prize that will be chosen by judges at Belton Woods hotel. The winner will get a week’s stay in one of the woodland lodges at Belton Woods.

Our inaugural event last year awarded some of the people who help to make Grantham a great place to live and work - the unsung heroes who do so much for others with no desire to get anything in return.

See the page opposite for full details of the awards and their sponsors.
