A WOMAN who recently lost her husband to cancer has nothing but praise for the support they received from the hospice at home team at Grantham Hospice.
Jan Pearce said she would have struggled to cope without the help the carers gave her for her husband David.
She said: “They made it a lot easier and were always cheerful. They were top class and obviously devoted to the work.”
The carers looked after David and gave Jan support by sitting with him at night to ensure everything was ok.
Jan said: “It was nice to have him at home for as long as we could. It’s a really valuable service. They supported us both physically and emotionally.”
Marie Curie Rapid Response Nurses, Macmillan Cancer Support and the district nurse also helped David during his illness.
