Grantham Journal letter: Let the spire be a tribute

Oh yes, I would like to make a donation to a memorial for Mrs Thatcher, but is the time right? The lady is still alive.

I will give my donation to the Save our Spire fund, what a wonderful memorial that would be. “Maggie’s Restoration Fund”.

What better memorial - a spire is much bigger than a statue and there could be a plaque in the church naming her. Statues are dull compared to the spire, so that’s where my money goes.
