Grantham Journal letter: Take care this winter

Can I please ask, nay, implore, the people of Grantham to consider pets, especially cats, when they prepare their cars for the winter cold.

I have just had the sad experience of one of my pets dying in my arms after a rapid deterioration of health from what I believe to be antifreeze poisoning.

Just a bit of consideration - like not leaving open containers of antifreeze laying around unopened and wiping up any spills from a driveway -  would have saved this situation.

I am not having a dig at anyone, just asking for simple consideration at this time of year.

I do understand cats are not everyone’s friend, but us who enjoy their company would  appreciate having them around.
