Our sincere thanks must go to . . .

I would like to congratulate the team of street cleaners from SKDC for an excellent job on Friday morning.

I would like to congratulate the team of street cleaners from SKDC for an excellent job on Friday morning. When I arrived to open my premises at 7am , Westgate, Wide Westgate and Guildhall Street looked more like a land fill site with the amount of rubbish strewn around. Someone had obviously taken the rubbish bags that had been put out for collection and had emptied them onto the streets. The team of mechanical sweepers and hand pickers had the rubbish cleaned up by 7.30am and those that passed through would never have known the carnage that I witnessed. Many thanks guys for a superb job.

On behalf of the trustees, staff, volunteers and families at Home-Start Grantham, I would like to thank The Rotary Club of Grantham for their very generous donation of 500 from the proceeds of this year's Swimarathon. These funds will be used to help support the running of the Cheeky Monkeys Family Group. Cheeky Monkeys takes place weekly on Wednesday mornings between 10am - 11.30am at Belton Lane Children's Centre - a support group for families with a child with additional needs. For details please contact the Home-Start Grantham office on 01476 592925. Home-Start is most appreciative of this help and support, thank you

LAST Friday evening I left my handbag in the trolley at Sainsbury's. I would like to sincerely thank the lady who handed it to customer services. Her honesty is very much appreciated.

WE would like to say a big thank you to all who attended our 60th birthday party at Grantham College on Saturday, June 13.

Instead of presents, donations amounting to 368 were received for CLIC Sargent. A special thank you also to Terry Carey, Dave Knight, Simon Shaw and Lee Robbins for the brilliant entertainment, and the bar staff who worked so hard. You all made it a night to remember.

I would just like to say a big thank you to Grantham police, especially the Grantham PCSOs who have kept their word and are often seen doing regular patrols around the paddock where the Waterfront apartments are situated. There is a lot less disturbance now and it's generally nice and peaceful.
