Litter-strewn area is bad for town’s image

WALKING into town this week has prompted me to comment on the dreadful amount of rubbish - sticks, branches, broken glass, paper etc - which has been lying on the footpath at the lower end of Church Street, leading towards the Almshouses.

It has been in this state for months, and to my mind reflects a bad image on the town when visitors go to see St Wulfram’s Church, which can’t have its surrounds kept litter-free.

I should also be interested to know if the council is resurfacing the footpath leading to Grantham House on Castlegate, in the near future? The surface is almost non-existent, just full of holes - an accident waiting to happen.
