Belton’s Winter Market returns for another year on Saturday and Sunday (November 14-15), bringing with it a selection of top notch local produce.
Woodwork, ornaments, beer, tea, cakes and paintings are just some of the things that visitors will be able to browse and buy over the weekend as the Christmas shopping season rolls on.
Local producers bring together a huge variety of skills to create unique crafts, food and drink.
There’s lots of pride goes into making these products, and every stallholder will be happy to talk about what makes their contribution special. Whilst browsing visitors can find out a bit more about how their purchases were made, ideal for picking up just the right Christmas pressie!
Marketing and Events Officer Sam Gee said ‘The Winter Market is such a wonderful event for Belton to host as it brings together local people keen to showcase their creative skills, offering a big variety of items for visitors to browse.
“There are some brilliant Christmas gift ideas, and lots of opportunities to treat yourself too.”
As well as browsing the stalls visitors can also listen to live music throughout the day, and enjoy Belton’s mansion, gardens, outdoor adventure playground, restaurants and shops.
Explore the historic parkland accompanied by the new audio guide as part of the contemporary arts project, and wander through the exhibition on the Machine Gun Corps based at Belton 100 years ago.
Younger visitors can enjoy the indoor Ride play area, and the new outdoor adventure playground.
National Trust members enjoy free entry as usual, normal admission charges will apply to non-members.
