An 11-year-old pupil of Ancaster Primary School has won a creative writing competition.
Sam Holmes won the competition, organised by Grantham Writers, with a story called Brad the Dragonfly.
The Primary Schools Creative Writing Competition was organised by the Grantham group to encourage new young writers.
Sam received a book token and the school also received a prize of £40 worth of book tokens.
The presentation was made by Ian Maber and Hilary Crossley, of Grantham Writers, in a school assembley, and Hilary read Sam’s story to the children.
