Are you prepared to get splattered in the world’s biggest ever pie fight?

The event will be held on Saturday, June 2.

The event will be held on Saturday, June 2.

BRAVE and charitable souls are wanted for an unforgettable fund-raiser which could earn a place in the Guinness World Records.

Fifteen-year-old King’s School pupil Rory Koper is organising what he hopes will be the world’s biggest pie fight, with more than 700 people taking part.

The pie war will take place at King’s School playing fields on Saturday, June 2 at 1pm.

Rory is organising the event to raise money for Macmillan Cancer support following the death of his father three years ago from pancreatic cancer.

He said: “We thought it would be a unique and interesting way of raising money.

“All my friends have helped out and said they will be part of it. We just need some more people to sign up.”

Rory currently has around 400 people volunteering to come along, including 300 on the event’s Facebook page.

But he needs in excess of 700 people if he is to set a new world record.

Rory is hoping everyone who comes along will donate £2 in memory of his father, who owned Ultimate Celebrations in The Pantiles at the Isaac Newton Centre.

Rory said: “When he was ill the amazing Macmillan Nurses were so supportive to my family and I. I want to give something back to this amazing foundation.”

Rory will be raising extra funds at Asda this Sunday by packing bags and will also be at the supermarket next Saturday.
