Police are appealing for information after a shop worker was assaulted by a member of the public as he tried to return an item of clothing.
Officers would like to speak to the man shown in the CCTV image in connection with the incident at the Boundary Mill Store in Gonerby Moor, Grantham.
At around 2.50pm on December 20 last year Lincolnshire Police received a report from staff at the store who reported that a female employee had been assaulted by a man in the shop.
He was reported to have been in the store trying to return a jumper but was refused by staff because it seemed that the garment had already been worn.
The man then punched the female employee to her arm before leaving the store.
He is described as being around 5ft 6in in height, of slim build, aged in his late 50s, with short blond hair, clean shaven, and wearing a red bomber-style jacket with cream or beige trousers.
Officers would like to trace the man described, and they would also like to speak to the man pictured in connection with the incident.
