Several break-ins have been reported in Allington in the past week.

On Wednesday, a shed in The Green was broken into but nothing taken (incident number 163 of August 29).

On Friday, in Bottesford Road, a garage was broken into, but, again, nothing was taken (incident number 111 of August 29).

The same day, an attempted garage break-in occurred, again in Bottesford Road (incident number 56 of August 29).

Meanwhile, in nearby Long Bennington, a resident received a call from someone claiming to be from the electricity board, who said they needed to check circuits along the street. The bogus caller then asked questions about the property.

Suspicious, a call was put in to the electricty board, which confirmed the call was not legitimate. Police are warning residents not to be taken in by such callers.

Anyone with information on any of the above incidents is asked to call the Lincolnshire Police control room on the non-emergency 101 number.
