BREAKING NEWS: The Angel and Royal Hotel in Grantham calls firefighters to chimney blaze

Firefighters attend Grantham's Angel and Royal hotel to deal with chimney fire.

GRANTHAM’S oldest hotel has been cordoned off this afternoon following a chimney fire.

Two fire crews from Grantham were called to the Angel and Royal Hotel, in High Street, at 4.18pm.

Firefighters cleared the hearth and are currently inspecting the roof.

The only damage caused is believed to be to the chimney itself.
