BREAKING NEWS: Power restored after Grantham blackout
The Esso petrol station in Harlaxton Road was without power this morning.
A BUSY section of traffic lights in Grantham town centre was out of action this morning following a power cut.
Electricity to the lights at the junction of Harlaxton Road and Wharf Road was cut off at 7.55am.
Power was also out in Morrisons and Poundland, in the Isaac Newton Centre, and at more than 1,000 homes in the town. According to EDF Energy, power returned to 750 properties by 8.25am.
Power to homes in Harlaxton Road and much of the town centre was restored by 8.45am but homes in other areas of the town such as Railway Terrace had to wait until 9.18am.
The power cut affected parts of the town centre and the west of the town including Harlaxton Road.
