GRANTHAM Town clinched the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Division One South title after a 1-0 win over Quorn at The Meres today (Saturday).
A single goal from Rhys Lewis on 30 minutes sent the Gingerbreads up into the Northern Premier League.
More than 400 supporters cheered Town to victory and many joined their heroes on the pitch as the team enjoyed an early shower with bottles of champagne.
Second placed Ilkeston slipped up by only managing a draw at Kidsgrove Athletic, giving Grantham a 10-point advantage with only nine points left to play – and with it the championship title.
