Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue have attended a car fire believed to have been started deliberately.
At 1.01am this morning firefighters used a hose reel to put out a fire which severely damaged a Mitsubishi Colt Cabriolet on Ambergate Walk.
Photos were provided by nearby resident Sean Mercer who said: “I was woken by a strong smell of burning plastic. When I looked out the front window in to the car park I noticed smoke.
“Then I went to the back of the house to notice a car on fire next to St Hugh’s playing fields fence.”
Mr Mercer rang for the fire service who quickly responded along with the police.
