Charter trustees meet in Grantham to set precept
Charter trustees met for their annual meeting last Thursday, during which the budget for 2013/14 was set.
Charter trustees agreed to set a precept of £59,000, the same figure set last year. This includes £30,000 for staff salaries, £5,000 for the mayoral car and £3,850 for hospitality. Figures also included £2,400 Mayor’s allowance and £1,200 for the deputy mayor.
Mayor Ian Stokes will hand over the reins to Councillor Frank Turner in May, with Coun Ian Selby as his deputy.
