Council can help you dispose of your Christmas tree
People looking to throw out their real Christmas tree in the new year can use a service being offered by South Kesteven District Council.
The council will collect and compost your Christmas tree if you leave it outside on your street’s green bin collection day - whether you have a green bin or not - and the council will collect and compost it.
You can find out when your street’s green bin day is by calling the council on 01476 406279 or by logging on to www.southkesteven.gov.uk
The service does not apply to artificial trees.
You can recycle your Christmas cards and wrapping paper in your silver bin.
