Curfew for thief who stole from cars

A DAYTIME curfew was slapped on a man who admitted stealing from parked cars in Grantham.

Bryan McDonald of Beechcroft Road, Grantham, admitted stealing from one car parked in Cowes Road, Grantham, and also admitted trying to steal from a second car.

McDonald, 20, stole items worth £20 from a wallet left in one of the cars before being arrested later that night.

McDonald was already subject to a community order when he committed the offences.

This week he was sentenced to a two-month curfew restricting him to his home between the hours of 7pm and 7am.

The curfew will be monitored by an electronic tag.

McDonald was also ordered to pay back £20 in compensation to one of the victims.
