Daughter’s call led to Grantham man’s arrest

A drink-driver was arrested after his daughter rang police.

Gary Bowles, of Fletcher Street in Grantham, admitted drink-driving after being stopped behind the wheel of a BMW in Grantham. The court heard Bowles, 41, had drunk three or four cans of Polish lager.

Mrs Moore, defending, told the court Bowles had not intended to drive but left the house after an argument with his partner.

Bowles was disqualified from driving for 18 months and ordered to pay a fine of £310, £85 in costs and a £35 surcharge.
