Dog breeders have been left devastated after 13 puppies and two bitches were stolen in one fell swoop.

The ‘designer’ puppies were taken from the animal units at Little Rascals UK dog breeders in The Clays, Brant Broughton, sometime between 10pm on Thursday night and 4am on Friday morning.

Four poodle puppies, two malshi puppies, two cockapoo puppies, one Bichon Frise puppy, one Chihuahua bitch and four puppies and one chocolate Pomeranian bitch were stolen. The total value of the dogs is estimated at around £9,000. All the puppies taken are micro-chipped.

Business owner Edward Swindells said: “This will hit our livelihood hard, we had a good Christmas until this happened. Our main concern is where the puppies have gone and are they all OK, as the Pomeranian was due to pup in the next week or so and the Chihuahua and her puppies will be vulnerable.”

Edward is offering a cash reward for the puppies’ safe return and information leading to prosecution of the culprits. Anyone who can assist should call Lincolnshire Police on 101.
