Foston has a ‘quality’ council
Foston Parish Council chairman Christina Lees with Robin Tucker.
FOSTON Parish Council is the most recent council in Lincolnshire to receive a ‘Quality’ approval from the Quality Council Assessment Panel.
Panel secretary Trisha Carter said: “The qualification is not easy to achieve. It demonstrates that Foston Parish Council follows legal procedures, good practice guidelines, and properly leads and serves its community.”
Christina Lees, chairman of Foston Parish Council, was presented with an official certificate at the annual village meeting by chairman of the assessment panel Robin Tucker.
She said: “I am absolutely delighted the council has achieved this success at our first attempt. Councillors have worked hard, been very supportive in every way, and have willingly adapted to change to ensure we comply as a ‘Quality Council’.”
