Free family fun in South Witham in the half-term

South Witham Children’s Centre is holding a themed family fun day over the spring half-term, where there will be loads of free activities for children.

The activities are suitable for youngsters aged up to 12, and will include jungle face painting, masses of craft activities, badge making, cake icing, cuddly animals and a ball pool. There will be food on offer throughout the day, plus Cook Connect will be giving food demonstrations and tastings of food from around the world.

Families are invited to drop by throughout the day on Tuesday, February 19, between 10am and 3pm.

Julie Ashworth, of South Witham Children’s Centre, said: “Lots of people don’t realise that everyone can use the children’s centre in South Witham. We hope that people who have been using the centre will come along and enjoy the day and that people who haven’t previously visited will drop in to see what’s going on.

“Parents are always looking for something to do with their children in the school holidays and hopefully this will help a little.”

Partners of the centre, such as the Citizens Advice Bureau, and community representatives from Alternatives, Circles Network and the police and fire services, will also be present during the day.

For information on family days and the centres weekly programme, call the centre, in Green Lane, on 01572 768876.
