Further blaze at Mid UK Recycling at Caythorpe
Firefighters have again been called out to Mid UK Recycling at Caythorpe to tackle a blaze.
At around 8.30pm yesterday (Friday), two crews from Grantham, one from Brant Broughton and one from Sleaford were called out to the plant where 80 one-tonne plastic waste bails were alight, out in the open.
The cause was determined to be combustion.
As reported by the Journal, crews were intially called to the plant on October 18 after receiving reports of a fire. At the height of the blaze, eight crews were in attendance.
Owners of the site were advised by Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue to let the remnants burn out, under supervision and with inspections by firefighters.
