Graffiti, smashed glass and stolen swing at Great Gonerby play park

Police are investigating after unknown offenders caused extensive damage to the play park on Belton Lane in Great Gonerby.

During the evening of Friday, May 9 into Saturday, May 10 they damaged three pavillion doors and a window leaving glass and graffiti everywhere in the play park (incident number 239).

This follows the theft of a child swing and damage to another at Belton Lane on Monday, May 5 (incident number 379).

Police are also appealing for information after a break-in at Long Bennington bowls club on Main Street sometime overnight on Sunday, May 4 and Monday, May 5 (incident number 79).

They are also asking people to be wary after two males entered a shop in Long Bennington on Wednesday, May 7 and confused and short changed staff by asking for change of £20 notes in smaller denominations (incident number 451).
