Grantham businesses urged to swap dodgy ladders as part of annual safety campaign
A LADDER exchange is an ideal opportunity for Grantham builders and employers to replace their ‘dodgy’ ladders at a discounted price.
For the next three months, ladders can be exchanged at two Grantham traders as part of an annual safety campaign run by the Ladder Association. They are Engex in the Alma Park Industrial Estate and Speedy Hire, in Earlesfield Lane.
Association chairman Cameron Clow said: “Dodgy ladders are dangerous and need to be removed from service. The exchange provides the perfect incentive to do just that and replace them with safe, brand new ones at a discounted price. “Falls from height remain the most common cause of death and injury in the workplace, so this campaign has a particularly important role to play in helping to reduce these consistently worrying statistics.”
