A drinker who remonstrated with police officers was arrested after pushing one of them in the street.
Michael David Burkitt, 27, of Turnor Crescent, Grantham, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place on December 8.
Prosecuting, Marie Stace told Grantham magistrates that there was an incident outside Faces nightclub in Westgate at about 1.05am involving a group of females.
Burkitt got involved and remonstrated with an officer who told him to leave.
Miss Stace said Burkitt moved closer to the officer and put his head close to his. He was asked to move again but stayed where he was.
Officers moved him along the street but he pushed one policeman. The court was told Burkitt was “in drink”.
Burkitt, who was not represented, said everything the court had been told was true although he didn’t recall much about the incident. “I vaguely remember,” he said.
Burkitt was given a conditional discharge for six months and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £15.
