A man was caught drink-driving for the fourth time when his BMW was in collision with another car in Grantham.

Daniel James Groves, 36, of Hornsby Road, Grantham, admitted drink driving in Springfield Road on February 13, and driving a car without a licence on the same date.

Prosecutor Tracey Ross told Grantham magistrates that Groves was driving his BMW at 6.30pm when it collided with a Volvo. There were no injuries. The driver of the Volvo called the police and Groves failed a breath test. He gave a reading of 96 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
