Making off with a Peperami worth very little cost a mother £130 in court.
Justina Kardokiene, 22, pleaded guilty to taking a three-pack of the spicy sausage from Asda in Grantham on October 24.
She was seen putting the Peperami in her handbag while shopping with her partner and child.
They paid for the items placed in the trolley but did not pay for the sausage.
During interview, Kardokiene, of Albion Place, Grantham, said she had taken the Peperami because her child wanted it and so she put it in her bag. The court heard how the defendant did not have enough money to pay for it.
Kardokiene was fined £65 and told to pay £45 prosecution costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
