Jon Blenkinship and Gregg Chappell were sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court today (February 4) in relation to possession of drugs with intent to supply.

A warrant was conducted at Blenkinship’s home address in Houghton Road, Grantham, on January 6 2012 where police recovered a quantity of drugs from the kitchen worktop between where the two men were sitting. Further drugs were recovered hidden in the cooker hood, along with deal bags and digital scales. The drugs recovered included cannabis, cocaine, amphetamine & MDMA which an expert witness valued at £1,544.27. Cash was also recovered from the house.

Chappell was sentenced to a community punishment order of 180 hours of unpaid work to be undertaken over the next 12 months.

The judge noted that Blenkinship was no stranger to drugs and noted that in 2011 the court had given him a chance by imposing a sentence of 12 months suspended for two years when he was convicted of dealing cannabis. He then sentenced Blenkinship to 43 months in prison for the 2012 offence with an extra two months added in respect of the suspended sentence.
