The fund-raising team at Grantham Hospice has been busy organising a host of events to raise cash for the facility.
The first is a coffee morning on Thursday, February 6, between 10am and noon. Held at the hospice, in Barrowby Road, the event is a chance to meet up with friends for a chat, tea, coffee and cakes. There will also be various stalls and a raffle. Everyone is welcome.
A sponsored zumbathon is planned for Saturday, February 8, at Walton Girls’ High School, in Kitty Briggs Lane, between 10am and 1pm. Registration is £5. For more information, call the hospice on 01476 513542.
On Friday, February 28, a murder mystery supper will take place at Belton Park Golf Club, at 7.30pm. ‘You Only Die Once’ will be put on by the Grantham Amateur Dramatic Society. Guests will be asked to solve the clues during a three-course supper, which will be followed by coffee and mints. Tickets are £20. To book, or for more information, call the hospice on 01476 513542.
Meanwhile, volunteers are needed to help the hospice’s annual Easter fund-raiser. The team is asking for knitters to step forward to knit chicks by the start of March. To obtain a pattern, call the hospice.
Donations of Cadbury’s Creme Eggs to fill the chicks would be gratefully received. They can be handed in at the hospice charity shop in Welby Street, Grantham, or at the hospice in Barrowby Road.
