An old complaint, but the potholes on the B1174 Gonerby Road, near Webster Way, are dangerous.
There are several potholes there and I have seen motorists swerving to avoid them. This is an accident waiting to happen.
If a motorcyclist hit one it would possibly send them across the road into an oncoming vehicle.
What a lot of people don’t realise is that even if these potholes do not damage a wheel or the suspension, it can cause damage to a tyre which could have fatal results later.
Also it puts the tracking of the car out, causing uneven tyre wear.
I recently had to have the tracking checked on my car and it was way out, causing uneven tyre wear and it was the first time in five years that I have had to have the rear wheels tracked at a cost of £60.
Motorists who have to have their tracking done should put in a claim to the Highways Authority. If a lot of people claimed then perhaps something would be done to repair the road.
