Grantham Journal letter: Bring back the WW1 weathervane

Wyndham Park. 932D

Wyndham Park. 932D

There can be no doubt that Grantham welcomes the news that Wyndham Park is to be restored to its former glory.

With so many others, I look forward to the return of the WW1 weathervane.

This vane was designed and made by local engineer and craftsman, George Musson, being inspired by a WW1 poem. George Musson created many weathervanes, all of individual design. Several can be found locally, eg on the Rutland Arms (Dirty Duck), and on a house in Barrowby.

All strength to the arm of the team guiding the project.

Sam Branson

Hurst Crescent, Barrowby
