Grantham Journal letter: Great care at Grantham Hospital

Having been an unexpected guest at Grantham Hospital recently, I would like to express my observations.

When I was first admitted via A&E to have an endoscopy, I was given a single room to myself, the staff were attentive and polite and made me as comfortable as possible; when I was moved on to Ward 6, I was impressed with the way all the staff carried out their duties with an air of calm and professionalism and the teamwork was awesome.

The endoscopy was a revelation too. I have never been a patient in a hospital before and never needed any procedure of any kind, so I went into the room with a little trepidation, I needn’t have worried. The specialist and his two assistants put me at ease and the encouragement and support I received was beyond anything I would have expected.

I would like to say a big and well-deserved thank you to all the amazing staff who made my stay in hospital a pleasant and comfortable one.
