Grantham Music Club has another six concerts lined up for its 85th season featuring a whole host of talent.
The concerts will be held at the new venue of The King’s School except for the December concert which will be held in St Wulfram’s Church.
The Wednesday concerts begin on October 1 with pianist Richard Markham, who will play much-loved classics by Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Grieg and Schumann and Chopin.
The other concerts feature the Kanneh-Mason Piano Trio, a talented group of teenagers who have won many awards, on November 12, Musica Donum Dei, an ensemble of professional performers playing Baroque instruments, on December 3, clarinettist Oliver Pashley, a former King’s boy, and pianist Edward Liddall on January 14, 4 Girls 4 Harps with Grantham’s own mezzo soprano Helen Winter on February 11, and finally The Parnell Phil on March 11, three performers who need little introduction to the club and feature former conductor of Grantham Choral Society Philip Robinson on piano.
A discount is available on subscriptions to the club paid before September 9. These cost £46 for adults and £40 for senior citizens and concessions. After this date subscriptions cost £48 and £42 respectively.
Tickets for non-members for each concert are available from the Guildhall Arts Centre box office, at www.guild hallartscentre.com or on 01476 406158 or on the door priced £12 (£10 concession, school age free). To join or renew a subscription and for more details on the concerts pick up a Grantham Music Club brochure from various venues around town or call Maryan Nussey on 01400 250372.
