Grantham’s Olympic Torch Relay in doubt after freak storm

THUNDER, lightning and large hailstones are putting today’s Olympic Torch Relay in jeopardy.

An electric storm moved into the area around 2pm and by 2.20pm roads were awash.

The Relay is scheduled to begin in Manthorpe Road at 3.42pm.
