Since their win at the Grantham Music Festival, the choir of St Mary’s Catholic Primary School have continued to showcase their vocal talents.
Made up of pupils aged between seven to 11, the choir were awarded the festival’s Norman Family trophy after coming first in the primary choir class.
They impressed judges by singing ‘The Grandfather Clock’ and ‘I Can See Clearly Now’, the latter of which they also performed at a special service for a school volunteer held last week at St Mary’s Catholic Church.
Headteacher at St Mary’s Geraldine Willders said: “The choir is very popular at the school. It gives the children both the opportunity to perform and it teaches them to be disciplined. Now they are taking every opportunity to keep singing.”
