From today, the two schools comprising Grantham Additional Needs Federation (GANF) have become Academies, forming a new multi academy trust.
Ambergate Sports College and Sandon School will now be run by the newly formed trust, known as The Community Inclusive Trust (CIT) instead of through the local authority.
As well as supporting GANF’s two existing schools, The Community Inclusive Trust aims to help more Academies in the future, and is looking forward to the prospect of being registered with the Department of Education as Academy sponsors.
Peter Bell, GANF’s Executive Principal and CEO of The Community Inclusive Trust said: “These are exciting times for us. The staff and students have worked very hard to develop an outstanding reputation, for the schools within GANF.
“The freedoms presented by Academisation, will allow us to build on these successes. Finally, I would like to thank all the parents and carers who have supported GANF so positively over the years and helped us reach this milestone.”
