A 28-year-old woman was today warned she faces an “inevitable” jail sentence after admitting two bank hold-ups when she appeared before Lincoln Crown Court.

Nicola Lehair, of Goodliff Road, Grantham, pleaded guilty to robbery at the Yorkshire Bank in High Street, Grantham, on the afternoon of April 30 when she stole £2,375 after demanding money from a cashier claiming she had a gun.

She also pleaded guilty to the attempted robbery of the Santander Bank at the corner of High Street and St Peter’s Hill on May 15, following an incident in which she was detained by police inside the premises.

Judge Michael Heath remanded Lehair in custody and adjourned sentenced until later this month warning her “Inevitably there will be a prison sentence of some length.”
