Grateful couple raise £750 for our hospice appeal

A COUPLE raised a fantastic £755 for the hospice appeal recently when they held a Bangers and Cash barbecue.

They decided to hold the party in memory of their youngest daughter who was cared for in a hospice.

The woman who raised the money, who wants to remain anonymous, said: “We did it as a tribute and to give back to the hospice for what she received when she was ill.

“They were so good.”

They sold tickets to their barbecue and held a raffle. She said: “Everybody had a most enjoyable time.”

This event takes the total amount raised for the Brick-in-the-Wall Appeal to a fantastic £12,070.

This money all goes towards the £40,000, which we are hoping to put towards the £1.3 million extension and refurbishment of Grantham Hospice.

The improvements will help the team at the hospice continue to provide a first rate service to its patients with excellent facilities to match.

Are you planning a sponsored event but you do not know which charity to support? Why not help the Brick-in-the-Wall Appeal?

Every penny you can raise for the appeal will really help as it all goes directly to the Grantham Hospice revamp.

If you do not want to plan your own event then why not go along to one of the pre-arranged events arranged by the hospice’s fund-raising team?

The Lipstick and Champagne ladies’ night on September 18 is a great way to have fun while raising vital funds. There will be loads of entertaiment and a lovely meal.

Order your ticket now from the fundraising team.
