Have you done your bit for our hospice appeal?

THE Journal’s Brick in the Wall Appeal is gathering pace - but we still need your help if we’re going to hit our target of £40,000 towards the redevelopment of the Grantham Hospice.

The hospice, in Barrowby road, is currently undergoing a £1.3 million redevelopment which will include the building of a new extension to bring facilities right up to date.

And so far Journal readers have got us off to a great start, pledging more than £15,000 to the cause.

But there’s still a long way to go and we’re urging Journal readers to make donations or organise their own fund-raising events to get as much money as possible together for the cause.

One such event has been organised by Mick Parnham, who has organised a concert at Great Gonerby Social Club to raise money for the cause.

The event, starring the UK Chicago Blues Brothers, is already close to selling out and is expected to raise around £1,000 for the charity.

See the panel on the right for ideas on how you can help to raise funds to get Grantham the state-of-the-art hospice facility it deserves.
