Knipfest organisers donate £14k to charities
The Rawhide Riders presented 14,000 to Cancer Research UK and Grantham Hospice.
THE Rawhide Riders donated £14,000 to charity last week, which they raised at their music festival - Knipfest.
Half of the money went to Grantham Hospice and the remainder was presented to Cancer Research UK.
One of the organisers, Phil Noon, said: “We’re very pleased to have raised that amount of money, it is testiment to the people who came to the festival. They got stuck in the mud and abandoned cars just to support us, it was really nice.”
The festival, which started in 2009, gets bigger each year and the early signs are that Knipfest Five will offer even more, potentially booking high profile bands.
Rawhide Riders and festival organisers Phil Noon, Jon Watchorn, John Copley, Phil Britten, Richard Hart and James Jessop with Annette Beeton from Cancer Research UK and Lynn Copley and Marie Gibson from St Barnabas Hospice.
