A pensioner missing since yesterday afternoon (Saturday) has been discovered in a field by a search and rescue helicopter.
John Setchell, 85, was taken to hospital for a check-up after being found this afternoon.
He was reported missing after a relative found he was not at home at Sandybrook, near Ingoldsby. He had last been seen by a carer who visited his home at 5pm.
Police said Mr Setchell had taken his jack russell dog out for a walk, and reported that a woman had returned the dog to the house some time later. An appeal for the woman to get in touch followed, as officers hoped she could lead them to where she found the dog.
As well as local officers and the search and rescue helicopter, Louth Search and Rescue dogs were part of the search party.
