New president of Rotary Club of Grantham receives chain of office

A new president has taken over the helm at the Rotary Club of Grantham.

Mos Kalbassi was handed the chain of office by retiring president Kevin Lawry at the Urban Hotel. Mr Kalbassi has lived in Grantham since the early 1980s and was the Prepared Foods Director at Padleys (now Moy Park).

A fellow of the Institute of Food Science and Technology, Mr Kalbassi is a chartered scientist and also chairman of governors at Grantham College and chairman of the local Parkinson’s Society. He is married with two children. He said: “It is an absolute privilege and honour to be the president of our club. We have a strong membership, dedicated to service for the community, for our youth, the elderly and for many other good causes, including our international fight against polio.”
