No case to answer against Blackpool FC supporter
A Blackpool FC supporter accused of assaulting a man with autism on a train at Grantham was told there was no case to answer.
Paul Ashton, of St Clair Drive, in Southport, denied common assault after it was alleged he kicked the man while they were both travelling on a train to the north-east.
Magistrates heard evidence from the victim, his carer and two independent witnesses.
However, they found there was no case to answer as none of the witnesses actually saw Mr Ashton, 47, kick the alleged victim.
