Grantham Dramatic Society promoted their upcoming production of The Pink Panther Strikes Back.

The town centre was turned pink last Saturday as Grantham Dramatic Society promoted their upcoming production of ‘The Pink Panther Strikes Again’.

Six pink panthers including a giant mascot were seen prowling around the town, as well as driving in a paw print covered car.

A market stall was also taken over by pink-clothed volunteers who gave away ‘pink panther tail’ balloons and temporary tattoos, along with information about the show.

Helen Pack from GDS said: “We had a great time, met lots of people and hopefully made a bit of a splash!”

“The aim has been to reach new people and help them discover GDS and local arts,” she added.

Moreover to coincide with the detective story, over the last few weeks the group have been leaving mysterious business cards around Grantham with a pink paw print and the website address www.paintthetownpink.org.uk, where you can find lots more details on the production.

‘The Pink Panther Strikes Again’ will be on at the Guildhall Arts Centre at 7.30pm from Wednesday, May 14 to Saturday, May 17, with tickets available at www.guildhallartscentre.com or by calling the box office on 01476 406158.
