Plans for the 2013 carnival underway
GRANTHAM Carnival might be over for this year, but plans are already underway to make next year’s event bigger and better.
The theme has been decided, and it is: Events and Inventions That Changed the World. So get you thinking caps on and get ready to enter a float!
l The Rotary Club of Grantham has donated £1,000 to the carnival’s funds.
Carnival chairman Roy Wright said: “They’ve helped us out of a bit of a hole. Our finances this year ended up a bit bleak.”
l A date for your diary is ‘An Audience with Trevor Leeson and Brian ‘Licorice’ Locking on Saturday, December 1. The show, to be held in the Guildhall ballroom, is organised by the carnival committee to raise funds for next year’s big event.
